Sansevieria cylindrica

Sansevieria cylindrica, the spear plant of African, is also known as the cylindrical snake plant. It has a thick rhizome supporting rosettes of 4 to 5 leaves, each 2.5 to 4.5 feet long by 0.7 to 1.2 inches wide.

Sansevieria cylindrica has green leaves with dark green cross-banding that are nearly cylindrical and slightly thicker from front to back than from side to side and narrow to a point at their tips.

Small plants propagated from leaf cuttings have some reflexing leaves in each rosette. Rosettes from established clumps produce predominantly straight, erect leaves.

When grown in optimal conditions, Sansevieria cylindrica might send up a long flower spike from their center that's full of tiny, delicate, white blooms.

They are best planted at the start of the growing season in the spring, and they’re generally a slow-growing succulent.
